About West River Chiropractic Co.

Dr. Brett Wegleitner is the founder and owner of West River Chiropractic Co. Originally from Bismarck, ND, he has also lived in Montana and Arizona before starting his higher education. He completed his undergraduate studies at Aurora University in Chicago, IL, and Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where he played collegiate soccer for four years. Dr. Wegleitner earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN.

With experience in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and Bismarck/Mandan areas, Dr. Wegleitner has developed expertise in various chiropractic techniques, including Activator, Muscle Testing, ProAdjustor, Diversified (manual) Technique, Active Release Technique (ART), nutrition, and X-rays. He treats patients of all ages, from newborns to patients in their 90's with a focus on functional movement. 

Outside the office, Dr. Wegleitner enjoys hunting, fishing, playing hockey, soccer, and spending time with his wife, Maddy, and their three children, Maverick, Roman, Honey, and German Shorthair, Ruby. 

Dr. Colyn Haugen was born and raised in Mandan, ND. His journey into chiropractic care began at age 12 when his passion for sports led him to his first chiropractor. This experience ignited his appreciation for the benefits of chiropractic on the body and overall wellness. 

Dr. Haugen pursued his undergraduate studies at Montana State University, where he also cultivated his love for the outdoors through activities like snowboarding, biking, hiking, camping, and fly fishing. An injury while snowboarding, which resulted in a compact fracture of five vertebrae, further deepened his interest in chiropractic care as it helped alleviate his pain and restore mobility. This pivotal experience solidified his dedication to understanding the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.

Dr. Haugen continued his education at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, where he honed a variety of chiropractic techniques including Diversified (manual), Gonstead, Activator Technique, taping, cupping, Graston, and numerous other therapies.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Haugen enjoys spending time with his wife, Ali, and their puppy, Nordi. They actively engage in outdoor activities and community events. Dr. Haugen has a passion for golfing and hockey and never misses an opportunity to go snowboarding.

Dr. Amy is originally from Park Rapids, MN. Her passion for Physical therapy and healing through movement started with a sports injury in gymnastics when she was in high school and has continued to grow since. Dr. Amy attended The University of Jamestown for her undergraduate degree and the University of Mary for her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Dr. Amy has been treating patients with a variety of conditions since 2023. She is certified in Dry Needling, Women’s Health, and has training specific to treating pregnancy and postpartum. She also brings additional knowledge on lymphatic drainage, digestive health, hypermobility, and treatment for a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. Dr. Amy is married to her husband, Ethan, and together they have one young daughter, Kaia. Dr. Amy enjoys reading, spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, or going for walks with her daughter.
